Job Summary 

The position of Estimator should be capable of preparing proposals for all types of projects (i.e. transmission, distribution, underground, etc.).  An individual in this position shall have experience in their understanding of the means and methods required for completion of various types of construction.  A successful Estimator shall be able to complete all required take-offs, Requests for Proposal package reviews, and site reviews required to prepare any proposal.  This position will attend project related meetings and site visits when required, complete site visits and scope discussions with assigned Superintendent or his designee, and clearly communicate the project requirements and basis for their estimate during bid reviews.

 Responsibilities 

    • Complete cost estimates for transmission and distribution projects
    • Attend field walkdowns with field leadership and customer representatives
    • Prepare advanced proposals with minor assistance (project schedules, cash flows, execution plans and supporting documentation)
    • Prepare and deliver formal presentations to prospective customers

    Equipment Administrator

    Overview 

    The Equipment Admin supports the Equipment Specialist and Fleet Department by performing essential administrative, data-entry, and coordination tasks related to equipment usage, reporting, documentation, and communication. This position helps ensure that equipment hours, records, and transfers are accurate, timely, and properly documented. The Equipment Admin acts as a critical support role for the Equipment Specialist and Fleet department.

    Major Areas of Responsibility

      • Administrative support for the Equipment Specialist and Fleet team

      • Data entry, validation, and organization of equipment information

      • Reviewing/reconciling equipment records in our timecard application system

      • Communication and coordination with field teams and internal departments

      • Documentation management and report preparation

      • Assisting in posting equipment hours in a timely manner based on established deadlines.

    Specific Responsibilities

    Administrative Support

          Field Safety Coordinator

          Overview 

          The Field Safety Coordinator role reinforces the critical importance of safety across all employee levels by implementing and upholding J.W. Didado Electric safety protocols. This role is integral in fostering strong professional connections with onsite field staff, management, and external bodies throughout operational activities. Positioned within the demanding context of a heavy utility environment, the Safety Representative is crucial in prioritizing safety practices in the field.

          The person in this role will uphold the culture of J.W Didado Electric, including relationship building with customers as well as general behavior at J.W. Didado Electric or client premises or at J.W. Didado Electric-sponsored events.

           Duties/Responsibilities 

            • Investigate incidents, injuries, damage to property, or other safety-related concerns.

            • Completes incident reports, OSHA-required documentation, and other client reports.

            • Critically assesses and evaluates hazards and takes corrective actions at the moment.

            • Documents findings, including Root Cause Analysis

            • Communicate with leadership and field personnel the investigation findings and recommendations for how to prevent reoccurrences.

            • Verifies corrective measures have been completed (including recommendations of the safetycommittee, leaders, and those that arise from the suggestion programs)

            • Enforces safety standards, conducts safety audits, participates in client safety meetings or conference calls; conveys information from specific clients about their specific safety requirements on a specific job site or client’s work

                Project Assistant/Assistant Project Manager – High Voltage Division

                Job Summary 

                Responsible for job scheduling, quality control, creating reports, document control, client satisfaction activities and other project management administrative support functions in an assigned division or function. This position will collaborate closely with the preconstruction team, project managers, purchasing, engineering and superintendents.

                         Responsibilities (include but not limited to) 

                          • Analyze blueprints.

                          • Conduct material and labor take-offs for all categories listed above.

                                      Project Manager - Transmission & Distribution

                                      Job Summary 

                                      We are looking for an experienced project manager to take the lead on managing several large-scale distribution and transmission projects from estimate hand off to financial close out. This person will ultimately be responsible for the financial well-being of their projects, change order submittals, invoicing, as-built submittals, etc. The project manager should have experience with the local utilities in NY, their standards, and their field policies and procedures. They should have experience with project financials, profit/loss, forecasting, etc. on projects upwards of $50M.

                                       Responsibilities 

                                        • Track project costs to meet budget
                                        • Monitor progress and adjust as needed
                                        • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
                                        • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
                                        • Determine and define project scope and objectives
                                        • Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
                                        • Predict resources needed to reach objectives & manage resources in an effective & efficient manner
                                        • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
                                        • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables

                                        Position Description 

                                        The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for providing strategic oversight, leadership, and operational excellence across a diverse portfolio of projects. This role leads and mentors a local project management team, ensures adherence to established processes, and drives consistent project delivery outcomes. The Regional Operations Manager also serves as a key partner to peer leaders across the organization, fostering a collaborative, mission driven culture that supports organizational goals.
