Lindsay Gierhart

Vice President of Financial Processes & Controls at J.W. Didado Electric

Lindsay Gierhart is Vice President of Financial Processes and Controls for J.W. Didado Electric where, in conjunction with IT and BI, she works to develop financial processes and procedures to create efficiencies and align those processes with JWD’s strategic mission and existing internal control framework. 

She joined J.W. Didado in 2013 as controller and has consistently demonstrated expertise in financial operations while supporting the expansion of her department. Her experience with J.W. Didado’s overall business as well as the dynamic of the company’s financial departments provides Lindsay with the background to be able to continue to support the ongoing needs of the departments while developing technology-based solutions.

Prior to her time at JW Didado, Lindsay worked in public accounting for 14 years with a firm in Akron, Ohio.  She has managed teams in the Assurance and Advisory Group, providing traditional audit, review and compilation services across a variety of industries including construction, retail, manufacturing, distribution, nonprofit and employee benefit plans (including 11-K work).  She has also worked on client agreed upon procedures related to licensure regulation audits and conflict of interest agreements.

After leaving public accounting, she worked in the private sector as the Controller of a local construction contractor in Canton, Ohio, coordinating with owners and management on financing aspects of the construction management firm.  Her focus was providing support for the management group and managing the Accounting Department, including preparation of financial statements and quarterly taxes, oversight of benefit plans, as well as other office management functions.

Lindsay was named to her current position in 2019 and in this role continues to address the expanding needs of the company’s growth while collaborating with all other departments. 

Lindsay is a graduate of Jackson High School in Canton, Ohio and attended Heidelberg University where she earned a double Bachelor of Science Degrees, in Accounting and Computer Information Systems. 

Lindsay and her husband Wes have two children.
