Vice President of Operations at J.W. Didado Electric

Philip Wallace is J.W. Didado’s Vice President of Operations.  He is responsible for the execution of the company’s growth strategies, new business development activities, and the implementation of corporate polices.  He also oversees all overhead, access road, and line foundation construction operations.

He joined J.W. Didado in 2015 as a Project Manager, overseeing a portfolio of work ranging from underground distribution to complete EHV Line rebuilds. Throughout his time with J.W. Didado, his leadership and support have contributed significantly to the company’s growth and success. In 2018 he was promoted to Senior Project Manager, responsible for the HV project team. In this role he mentored new project managers and developed processes and procedures to streamline efforts and increase efficiency. His technical knowledge enhanced the communications between field and office resulting in safer working practices and better financial tracking. He was named to his current position in 2022.

Phil earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University in 2006 and began his career working for a large investor-owned utility, first as a transmission designer and subsequently as a field commissioning engineer.   It was there that he developed his foundational knowledge of electrical infrastructure design and construction. Throughout his career he has been responsible for many high-profile EHV projects including serving as the lead for numerous 500kV emergency response projects.

While working for a global EPC firm, Phil led projects involving SVC, AIS, and GIS substation design for clients such as Google, Dominion Power, and Kissimmee Utility Authority.

In his spare time, Phil enjoys time with his family, hunting, and boating.
